  • Beschreibung: This study investigates the relationship between number of primary and equivalent educational institutions and literacy rates. It also investigates the relationship between students per teacher of primary and equivalent institutions and Literacy rate in Bangladesh. Furthermore it aims to determine which primary institutions have a significant influence on increasing literacy rate. District wise literacy rate, number of primary and equivalent educational institutions and students per teacher of primary and equivalent educational institutions' data were collected from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics. This research found that number of government primary school, number of kindergarten school, have a positive relationship with the literacy rate and students per teacher of registered primary school and Ebtedayee madrasah have negative relationship with literacy rate
