Organizational rationality has traditionally been seen as a static paradigm wherein predetermined goals are pursued in a cognitively bounded pursuit. Organizational scholars have increasingly advocated for processual approach that looks at organizations in continual process of becoming. Adopting process ontology necessitates going beyond the conventional bounded-rationality model, towards a conceptualization that accommodates dynamically shifting environments both within and without the organization, as well as incorporates the complexity of ongoing interaction between individual and collective within the organization. In this study, we incorporate temporality as an additional dimension to organizational rationality. By doing so, we propose a framework for temporally guided rational decision-making in organizations. Seen from a processual perspective, the framework demonstrates rational becoming: a dynamic perspective to organizational rationality. We discuss implications of the proposed model to organizational outcomes
