  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:sec> <jats:title>Background</jats:title> <jats:p>Adult vaccination programs are suboptimal.</jats:p> </jats:sec> <jats:sec> <jats:title>Methods</jats:title> <jats:p>Pneumococcal vaccination history, and healthcare contact were assessed in patients with invasive pneumococcal disease.</jats:p> </jats:sec> <jats:sec> <jats:title>Results</jats:title> <jats:p>Of the 229 cases, 14% were vaccinated. Observed mortality was 20.1%.</jats:p> </jats:sec> <jats:sec> <jats:title>Conclusions</jats:title> <jats:p>Numerous missed vaccination opportunities were identified.</jats:p> </jats:sec>
