  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>ABSTRACT</jats:title> <jats:p> <jats:named-content content-type="genus-species">Staphylococcus aureus</jats:named-content> is a frequent human commensal bacterium and pathogen. Here we report the complete genome sequence of strain 6850 ( <jats:italic>spa</jats:italic> type t185; sequence type 50 [ST50]), a highly cytotoxic and clinically virulent methicillin-sensitive strain from a patient with complicated <jats:named-content content-type="genus-species">S. aureus</jats:named-content> bacteremia associated with osteomyelitis and septic arthritis. </jats:p>
