<jats:p>The geologic structure and genetic aspects of inland galcier sediments are described on examples from northern Germany. Different types of structures are demonstrated ranging from slight undulation to intense subglacial folding and shearing. Inland glacier sediments are called all deposits laid down and/or deformed by inland glaciers. These sediments resting on glacially undeformed basement include lodgement till (at top) and below of it shear till, melt-out and deformation till. A fundamental tool of modern till stratigraphy is the knowledge of the geologic structure more than are petrography and geochemistry of moraines at present.</jats:p>
